Just a short drive from the lively city of Asheville, North Carolina, Pisgah Glamping introduces a delightful twist to your outdoor escape with an elevated camping experience. This scenic glamping destination not only immerses you in the city's cultural treasures, such as art and music venues, dining, and shopping, but also grants easy access to the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway, scenic hiking trails, and the tranquil waterfalls.

Explore nearby gems like Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, the NC Arboretum, and the iconic Biltmore Estate. Whether you crave city vibes or a wilderness retreat, Pisgah Glamping seamlessly combines the best of both realms.

The facility provides fully furnished platform tents, picnic tables, charging station, lantern posts and campfire rings with grills, in addition to restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets.

12 weatherproof 12’ x 16’ canvas wall platform tents are available in the upper Hard Times Loop at Lake Powhatan Recreation Area & Campground, all within walking distance of the lake.

Each glamping tent can accommodate up to 4 guests, offering a queen bed with linens, a cot that can be stored under the bed when not in use and additional floorspace for sleeping bags or air mattresses.

The swimming area is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Dump station and potable water on site.

Campers can purchase ice and firewood on-site.

Generators may be used up to 4 hours per day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Glamping sites are available year-round. Reservations are required during the main season, which typically runs from late March through mid-November. A minimum two-night stay is required for any reservation that includes a Friday or Saturday night.

Reservations open on a 6-month rolling calendar, and availability is limited—especially on weekends and holidays. Weekday bookings are strongly recommended when possible.

• Check-in time: After 4:00 PM (two hours later than standard campsites)

• Check-out time: 11:00 AM (one hour earlier than standard campsites)

• All guests must check in at the Lake Powhatan gatehouse upon arrival. An attendant will provide directions to your reserved glamping site, along with a campground map, rules, and a comment card for feedback. The campground host will provide instructions for battery charging and general site use, and is available to answer questions.
