JOB TYPE: Full Time, Year-Round, Salaried
WORK WEEK: Minimum 40 hours per week; seasonally may work weekends and holidays
SALARY: $60,000 - $65,000 (annualized bi-weekly per year), commensurate with experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring all Naventure facilities are maintained to the standards set forth by both Naventure and the US Forest Service (USFS). The sites that this position will be responsible for include Juniper Springs, Juniper Wayside, Alexander Springs, Silver Glen Springs, Salt Springs Recreation Area Mill Dam, Salt Springs Marina, Recreation area, Clearwater Lake Recreation Area, Buck Lake Group Campground, Wildcat Lake Recreation area, Hopkins Prairie Campground, Sweetwater Cabin, and Lake Dorr Cabin.
This position will oversee staff training to ensure they have the skills to maintain all Ocala facilities to Naventure and USFS standards. Professionally maintained facilities are critical for a positive visitor experience. In addition to facility maintenance and upkeep this position will play an integral role in executing the Granger-Thye (GT) plan laid out by the USFS. This will include hiring and overseeing outside contractors as well as internal staff who will perform work on GT projects. Efficient use of all GT funds is essential to maximizing the benefit to the Ocala National Forest from the partnership between Naventure and the USFS.
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.
Supervise or perform the assignment and completion of light maintenance tasks not requiring a licensed contractor. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, window repair and replacement, plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, site grading and excavation, landscape maintenance, roof repairs, and painting.
Train staff in the safe and proper use of all maintenance equipment.
Maintain open communication with all administrative staff.
Create and cultivate a positive work environment for all staff.
Holds all staff to Naventure standards and keeps them accountable on all Naventure projects.
Ensure all staff follow OSHA standards when doing any maintenance or GT work.
Maintain and verify all maintenance logs for Naventure equipment.
Submit GT reports on time to Naventure Controller.
Communicate directly with Naventure Director of Operations to ensure that any reported infrastructure or repair issues are handled in a timely manner.
Hire outside contractors needed to perform any facility maintenance or construction beyond the expertise of Naventure staff.
Oversee all facility maintenance work done to ensure it is up to established standards.
Other related duties as assigned.
II. NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The ability to cultivate and manage a team of diverse staff.
Knowledge, skills, and experience in maintaining various septic, plumbing and electrical systems.
Must be able to work cooperatively with Naventure, United States Forest Service, and the public.
Must possess in-depth working knowledge of all Naventure equipment.
Must possess working knowledge of all applicable OSHA regulations.
The ability to independently respond to any emergencies according to protocol as they arise.
III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience and qualifications necessary to perform the duties associated with the position.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Must maintain a positive, efficient, and functional work culture.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must own a hard side camper trailer or RV suitable for long-term living, if living on-site.
High School Diploma.

Physical: Requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to navigate significant distances traversing uneven, rocky, and wet natural terrain and elevations; ability to stand or sit for extended periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and pull moderate to heavy weight; operate maintenance equipment; use a computer/laptop/tablet; travel to other locations via private or commercial transportation; and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to lift moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
