JOB TYPE: Seasonal (March – November)
SCHEDULE: 15-20 Hours; varies based on operational needs.
AVAILABILITY: North Mills – Must be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
COMPENSATION: $13.80/hour, plus sick pay and complimentary full-hookup RV site

POSITION SUMMARY:

Grounds & Maintenance Hosts work as part of a team to ensure the campground is well maintained and that all visitors receive excellent service. This position provides hands-on support across various campground operations including guest services, facility maintenance, and site preparation. In addition to standard host duties, this position dedicates several hours per week to landscaping projects, light maintenance tasks, and outdoor improvements. Hosts create a welcoming, family-friendly, and safe environment for all visitors while working collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members.

LIVING REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires living on-site in your own RV. A complimentary full-hookup site is provided. Cell phone and internet service are extremely limited at campground locations.

I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work designated scheduled shifts in their entirety, arriving on time and staying until completion

  • Provide excellent customer service to all campground visitors

  • Enforce campground rules and regulations per U.S. Forest Service guidelines in a friendly and respectful manner

  • Adhere to all campground rules and regulations as a representative of Naventure

  • Perform guest service operations including check-ins, guest inquiries, and processing transactions using recreation.gov and Square POS systems

  • Clean and maintain bathroom facilities to high cleanliness standards

  • Perform campsite cleanup and preparation between guest stays

  • Monitor campground for safety concerns and report issues to supervisors promptly

  • Respond to guest questions and concerns in a friendly and professional manner

  • Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols

  • Complete timesheets accurately in Paychex system

  • Physical ability to perform job duties including:

    • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

    • Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly

    • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

    • Walking campground grounds throughout shifts

Grounds & Maintenance Responsibilities (Several hours per week):

  • Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, mulching, and general grounds maintenance

  • Complete light maintenance projects such as painting, minor repairs, signage installation, and facility improvements

  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools

  • Assist with seasonal outdoor projects such as site improvements, drainage work, and erosion control

  • Remove fallen branches, clear debris, and maintain safe walkways and roads

  • Assist with firewood stocking, supply distribution, and equipment staging

  • Monitor campground infrastructure for maintenance needs and report issues to supervisors promptly

Team Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and fellow hosts to ensure smooth operations

  • Communicate proactively with team members about operational needs or concerns

  • Check in with supervisor at the beginning and end of shifts as directed

  • Alert supervisors to any issues, maintenance needs, or guest concerns

  • Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and contribute to a supportive work environment

  • Participate in orientation, training, and regular check-in sessions

  • Be flexible and willing to assist with various tasks as operational needs arise

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must own or have access to an RV suitable for full-time living

  • Customer service experience or strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience with landscaping, grounds maintenance, or outdoor facility work

  • Comfortable operating landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)

  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to work collaboratively
